One of the premier fishing rivers of the west is the Madison River and I have the good fortune to visit there every summer. My father built a cabin in the valley about 25 years ago and annual visits there and to nearby
Yellowstone National Park are highlights of every summer. The cool mountain air, the strong winds, the incredible big sky make it rich in photographic potential. These are a few of my favorites shots from this area.
Bovine sunset. I hadn't planned on cows in my landscapes, but when I pulled up and got ready to shoot this sunset, some distant cows started walking toward me. I suppose they thought I'd feed them, but I could only take photos. This is one landscape shot I'd classify as "atypical".
