Gordon Smith  > Landscapes > Utah > Wahweap Hoodoos
Wahweap Hoodoos: the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument contains this remarkable treasure. I made 2 trips out here so far. The first time, I drove out in complete darkness on a dirt road, then hiked to the hoodoos as the dawn approached. I was rewarded with the finest views in the Southwest. The second time, I camped in my car at the end of the dirt road and hiked before dawn again. This time, I tried to get more unique shots (compositions that I've not seen before or that may require a better eye) of these wonderful hoodoos.
