Daily Photo Gallery : Current and recent work. This is a gallery for the SmugMug Daily Photo Community that posts a photo a day, typically a shot taken that day or recently. I really don't have the drive and time to post every day, but I do enjoy sharing recent work with this great group.

Recent Work : This is a gallery of work I've just processed. Sometimes I take a month or more to get through all the photos I take on a trip as my life can be busy! This gallery shows my newly developed photos. It's a great place to see the latest shots from the latest trip. Of course, this gallery gets more photo turnover than any other. I'm grateful for any opinions regarding these ones. Sometimes I have a hard time deciding which photos are "keepers". The keepers will find their way to a gallery of their own after a month or so.

Recent Work

Air America : This gallery got me a little out of my element (traditional landscape shots), but the 2007 Air America show in Las Vegas was awesome. The plane shots were taken with my 20D and a 300/2.8 IS lens, which really proved its' worth here. The action was very fast and this lens was amazingly fast and sharp. Great fun!

Black and White : Black and White represents a recent interest of mine. I now see how removing distracting color can strengthen a photograph by forcing the viewer to see only the shapes and composition. This can be a very powerful tool. This gallery has unrelated photo subjects that may only have their black and white processing in common. With this gallery, I am also a part of the great SmugMug Black and White Community which you may enjoy visiting.

Flowers & Nature : My macro photography interest is underdeveloped. There is great potential, but I only take time rarely to dig into the field. When I do, the rewards are there. Here are some of my flower shots and other macro shots of nature. I hope to do more with these subjects, but for now this is what I have. Please enjoy.

Gordon's Landscapes : Landscapes are my true passion. I happen to live in a perfect place for landscape photography: Southwest Utah. I love all the diversity here and weekend trips never fail to amaze me when I see how incredible the Earth is.
