Landscape photographs and other miscellany from Big Sky State. One of the premier fishing rivers of the west is the Madison River and I have the good fortune to visit there every summer. My father built a cabin in the valley about 25 years ago and annual visits there and to nearby
Yellowstone National Park are highlights of every summer. The cool mountain air, the strong winds, the incredible big sky make it rich in photographic potential. These are a few of my favorites shots from this area. A special gallery just for a
Rustic Cabin in this huge valley is worth a visit too.
Waiting in the Field
Montana in the late summer. These huge rolls of hay were just there, beautiful as anything could be. I stopped and took their pictures for about 30 or 45 minutes. This really big roll in the foreground works as a lead-in object for the rest of the background rolls. I drove by here a couple days later and all the rolls were gone.
