Although I have traveled to other places in the past (notably Tahiti and Europe), I will start this log in 2005. It was at that time that I started to think and schedule in terms of photography when I would make travel plans. This is also the time that I began using a tripod whenever possible (nearly all the time).

Now when I plan on going somewhere, I always find myself asking the same questions: "Where will I be for sunrise and sunset?" "Is this a good sunrise or sunset location?" and so on. . . . When I realized this, that's when I discovered that I was a landscape photographer at heart.
