Wahweap Hoodoos: the <a href="http://gordonsmith.smugmug.com/gallery/4835909_8bTJi/1/329549080_SigRQ">Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument</a> contains this remarkable treasure. I made 2 trips out here so far. The first time, I drove out in complete darkness on a dirt road, then hiked to the hoodoos as the dawn approached. I was rewarded with the finest views in the Southwest. The second time, I camped in my car at the end of the dirt road and hiked before dawn again.
