Druid Arch and Tree Root
The twisted tree root and red dirt lead to the amazing Druid Arch. Druid Arch towers over the Needles district in Canyonlands. This unique and picturesque arch rewards hikers with an incredible, scenic view, special to the Southwest.
Double Desert Rainbow
Arching over Red Mountain (Ivins, Utah), a colorful double rainbow appeared after a spring storm. The clouds, light and color were fantastic. Adding to the beauty, wildflowers were blooming! I love Utah!
Buckskin Gulch Golden Wall
In long Buckskin Gulch, sometimes the canyon opens up and creates incredible, amazing lush sections. The wash provides water and enough lights comes through to allow trees to thrive.
After the Storm
With spring wildflowers, the desert is in full beauty, but spring weather also brings storms and unpredictable changes. Just after a windy rainstorm passed through, I took two photos of this wide, beautiful landscape. Here they are stitched together for a stunning view.
Snow Canyon and the scenic town of Ivins witnessed this wonderful show of color on the cliffs and wildflowers at sunset after a May storm. The yellow wildflowers bloomed everywhere.
Druid Arch Enchantment
Morning light stretches across the block-like towers of Druid Arch. This amazing, unique arch lies deep in the Needles section of Canyonlands. Hiking here is wonderful, fun and a great adventure. This is one of the greatest arches for landscape photography.
