March 2015: Rainbow Eucalyptus Trees and Jungle
in the Ke'anae Arboretum of Maui, Hawaii. These gentle giants of the forest kindly glow red, orange, green and brown. So peaceful and beautiful, they wait for discovery and touch.
Colonnade Arch Columns
These large and impressive columns support a sandstone arch that contains 5 holes. All 5 cannot fit in one photo but here are three! In the lower distance the cliffs of Green River and Canyonlands stretch out.
Buckskin Gulch Tree and Boulder
Just upstream from the confluence with Paria River, Buckskin Gulch has a remarkable opening in the canyon where light shines and trees grow. The oasis has a golden glow
Buckskin Gulch Golden Wall
In long Buckskin Gulch, sometimes the canyon opens up and creates incredible, amazing lush sections. The wash provides water and enough lights comes through to allow trees to thrive.
Koiawe Waterfall on the White Road Trail
This waterfall does not really have any name but can be found by wandering a few feet off the White Road Trail on the Big Island. This is also known as the Hamakua Ditch trail.
Hi'ilawe Waterfall and Boulder
While I visited, some smaller rocks fell into the water and the surrounding area. This is an unstable place.
This particular boulder would have made a huge impact when it landed.
