Gordon Smith > Vortex

This is my first black and white shot (with sepia toning) that I felt good about. I'm really starting to see the potential strengths of this field.
Gordon Smith > This is a Star trail that was 90 minutes long, looking North. I set up my camera, started the exposure and went to bed. This exposure nearly drained 25% of my battery's power. However I was very happy when I saw that it worked the following morning.
Gordon Smith > I like how black and white emphasizes the details in this rock study
Gordon Smith > Day 9: A picture from on top of Coyote Buttes North, looking down on the "Wave".

This remarkable coastline is just south of the sleepy town of Avila Beach.
Gordon Smith > Although churches are not typical landscape shots, the churches of New Mexico become part of the landscape and the identity of that area. This particular church was a favorite of Georgia O'Keefe because is a beautiful shades of color and curves in its structure. It is the most beautiful church I've photographed. A clergyman that worked in this church came out and was about to leave in his car when he saw me taking photographs. He came over and spoke to me in the most friendly terms and it was easy to see that he loved serving in this church. He wished me well.
